The Chastening of God

I not too long ago posted on Facebook that God WILL NOT make you sick to chasten you and that anybody who teaches that is repeating a lie straight from the pit of hell.

Yep, I claimed it!

Indeed, I am rather surprised that this statement did not get extra traction than it did. I believe that this is a revelation that will trigger non secular shackles to drop of the hearts and minds of all who receive it!

Powerful terms, for guaranteed, but words of necessity. You see the church has been bound by a doctrine that indicates that God is the architect of illness and that He afflicts His young children to chasten them. There are a number of scriptures proffered in help of that theory, chief of which is the adhering to:

7And lest I must be exalted over measure as a result of the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I must be exalted previously mentioned measure. 8For this issue I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is manufactured ultimate in weakness. Most gladly hence will I somewhat glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may possibly relaxation on me. 10Therefore I just take enjoyment in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I formidable. (2 Corinthians 12:seven-1)

Now, we must initially fully grasp that Paul referred to himself as a Pharisee (Acts 26:five, Philippians 3:5). He was nicely schooled in the law, acquiring studied at the ft of Gamaliel. Prior to his encounter with the risen Jesus, I posit that the former Saul of Tarsus was pretty proud of his instructional accomplishments. Certainly God dealt with Paul to continue to keep him from being puffed-up in the knowledge of the Kingdom of God as He was in his know-how of the law.

Now, I am going to acknowledge, which is speculation and can be deemed Eisegesis. Even so, we can glean a little something concrete from the text – that Paul's "thorn in the flesh" was a "messenger of satan to buffet" him. A disease or an infirmity is not a messenger. This passage is referring to a sprit getting that satan unleashed to impede Paul's progress in spreading the Gospel. Furthermore, when Paul spoke of infirmities in verse ten, he was simply just saying that whatsoever he had to endure for the Gospel's sake, he was inclined to get.

This is Paul's testimony, saint, not yours! But I digress.

John ten:ten says that, "the thief arrives to steal, destroy, and destroy." Who is the thief? Why, the devil, of program that is his career. When one thing comes about that steals from you or tries to kill you or tries to damage your life, you can be guaranteed that this is the devil and that God is significantly from it. Without a doubt, Jesus identifies his purpose in the existence of the believer in the similar passage of scripture, stating that, "I am arrive that they may possibly have life a lot more abundantly."

Now, my initial question to the reader is, "Is there anything at all considerable about sickness or bodily affliction?"

I'll facilitate you out: NO!

If you are a born once again, washed in the Blood believer, you are an heir to the guarantees of Abraham and have an earnest expectation of prolonged, wholesome everyday living.

7And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen a long time. 8Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a excellent aged age, an previous gentleman, and whole of years and was gathered to his most people. (Genesis twenty five:seven-8)

Let's confront it, pain and suffering is demanding and unquestionably not conducive to extended lifestyle. Even more, it is not the will of God that His young children, the saints, go by using everyday life this way. I've posed this question many times but it begs to be asked all over again in this context, would you, a father or mother, afflict your kid with so considerably as a tummy-ache to get them to behave the right way? I believe that the response to that is "NO!" And if God is a more suitable father or mother than any of us could aspire to be, why would He do these a point? The response is, He will not!

Psalm 103:3 Puts it thusly:

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities who healeth all thy ailments.

What thing of ALL is unclear, right here? God heals…period!

For the icing on the cake, let us take a start looking at Jesus. Matthew four:24 and 8:15, and Luke six:19, all clearly state that Jesus healed all who come to them. It is remarkable to note that these persons whom He healed had been Outdated Covenant saints – they had neither the risen Christ nor the Holy Spirit! BUT YOU DO!

A further good question is, how a lot of most people did Jesus make sick throughout His earthly ministry? Once again, the response is evidently "NONE!" According to John five:19,

Then answered Jesus and says unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do practically nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what stuff soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son similarly.

Then, If Jesus only healed individuals and made none sick (and most certainly did not eliminate anyone), and He only did what He noticed the Father do, this implies God makes no one sick! But let us take it a step further, If God did, in truth, make some sick and Jesus healed them, that would make Jesus' actions contrary to the will of God, right?

When will the Physique of Christ acknowledge that bodily healing is to choose from for all believers? I am drained of this weak-kneed, so-called "Christianity" that teaches that illness in some way emanates from God. What thing of "Jesus healed them all" (Matthew 12:15) are we lacking?

I've mentioned this ahead of and I am going to say it again, "ALL indicates ALL, y'all!"

I like how God exposed this to Isaiah:

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was on him and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

Observe two factors:

To start with, God said the chastisement of our peace was on Him, that is, Jesus. This implies the punishment we deserved was laid squarely on Jesus. As soon as we are saved and in Christ, the affliction we deserved is no longer reserved for us. Glory to God! Now this chastisement really extends past the believer in that God is no lengthier earning company judgments as He did with Sodom and Gomorrah. The plagues, climate phenomena, and acts of terrorism emanate from satan – not God! Sure, God did these types of items in the Previous Testament, but they are conspicuously absent from the New Testament!

Second, the stripes (the beating, scourging, and scorning) laid upon Jesus ended up the payment for the health and wellbeing and therapeutic of the believer! Once more, individuals who are in Christ have the earnest expectation that the God who saved them from eternal dying can help save them from earthy disorder, plague, and disability!

God chastens His young people with His Term. This is explained in two Timothy 3:16:

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is money-making for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

And once more in two Timothy four:two

Preach the term be immediate in period, out of period reprove, rebuke, exhort with all prolonged suffering and doctrine.

Correction for the believer is from the Word of God, not illness! Gentleman, this is a revelation!

The variation among functionality and manifestation is potential. God has presented us remarkable capability but we have to get a revelation from Him for our likely to be unveiled. The System of Christ often operates beneath privilege for the reason that function is unidentified to most of us.

I stand firmly behind my authentic premise. Any educating that special discounts therapeutic or, worse, supposes that God is the architect of illness is a perverted Gospel. I will teach this faithfully until the Holy Spirit releases me from it. Be healed. Be set cost-free. In Jesus' title!
